ECC is the epicenter of a movement to effectively address the plastic pollution challenge swirling in our oceans. We believe it takes many perspectives to create the most viable and sustainable solutions. Together we are doing this by engaging our growing community who share a love for our planet and a concern for the health of our oceans. Our actions include cleanup, restoration, education, awareness and prevention.
ECC plans to protect the oceans for many years to come and we need your support. By including ECC in your estate planning through planned giving, you can help provide essential resources so that we can continue our direct intervention for safeguarding the oceans and marine wildlife. Planned gifts are crucial in supporting our vital conservation programs well into the future!
The Forever ECC Society, honors individuals who have made a provision for a future gift to ECC through a bequest in their will or other arrangement such as a retirement plan or life insurance beneficiary designation.
The Forever ECC Society affords us the opportunity to extend ECC’s warm appreciation to those who notify us of their thoughtful gift intentions. There are no dues or other obligations, but Forever ECC Society members will receive a certificate of membership and a small memento.
Your gift to ECC is a legacy to your passion and commitment to protecting the oceans. There are many ways to make a planned gift that will offer tax benefits to you and enable you to leave a legacy that will help ECC protect, conserve, and defend the oceans for generations to come.

Your will is a very important document – it may be difficult to think of preparing it now – however, it protects your family and your assets for the future.
A will gives you the opportunity to decide where your assets and possessions will go and how they are to be used. Most significantly, a will protects your family and your loved ones – it removes unnecessary stress, expense, and legal problems.
But we believe your will can do even more – it can also be your legacy, passing on not only physical assets, but also your values and ideals. A bequest is as simple as it is powerful; with a few words in your will, you can continue to be an advocate for wild and free marine life living in vibrant oceans well beyond your lifetime.
A bequest is a gift nominated in your will to one or more non-profit organizations. Your bequest can take any (or a combination) of the following forms:
- Cash
- A percentage of the overall value of your estate
- Retirement plan or life insurance beneficiary designation
- Securities
- Personal property (artwork, jewelry, etc)
