10 Things Everyone “Can Do” to make a difference

1. Drive the Speed Limit, if everyone in the US drove the speed limit we would save over a billion gallons of fuel annually.

2. Stop buying bottled water, tap water has been proven to have less contaminants than bottled water and the amount of energy required to move bottled water is incredible.

3. Buy food Local, on average your food travels over 1500 miles before is gets to your dinner plate.

4. Reduce your use, on everything, we really don’t need all that stuff.

5. Ride your bike, walk, or take mass transit one day a week, minimum.

6. Plant food, even a small window box will produce and incredible amount of joy in your life and it tastes good too.

7. Planet a tree a year, preferably one that will produce fruit.

8. Take a shorter shower, even better keep a bucket in there to catch the water before it gets warm and use it to water your garden.

9. Walk in nature, reconnecting with the beauty that we have here on planet Earth will inspire us to preserve it for future generations.

10. Give your time and money to a local non profit. Work in a soup kitchen, studies show that giving your time to a worthy cause has health benefits.
